Rahul Vir

Rahul Vir is an award-winning hospitality executive and consultant with extensive Marriott International experience in multi-brand, multi-segment and portfolio tier oversight in the hospitality industry across Latin America, the Caribbean and the United States.

Rahul advises ECI Development’s leadership team in action plans to improve financial, operational and organizational performance as well as the planning and construction strategy of its new Belize Marriott Residences Ambergris Caye Resort. In this role, he has helped ECI to develop a scalable program of systems, policies, processes, reporting and operational guidelines as the company continues its growth in the future.

He also serves as Principal at White Sails Hospitality LLC, a United States-based hospitality consulting firm providing boutique consulting in international hotel project planning. With a keen understanding of the operations and mechanics of growing organizations, Rahul focuses on enhancing performance from the inside with top-performing teams and engaging customer experiences as measured by balanced scorecard performance and top-line and bottom-line results.

Having worked with Marriott for nearly 25 years, he has held the positions of Vice President for Owner & Franchise Relations as well as the Marriott Managed Select Brand portfolio for the Caribbean and Latin America. In these roles, he directed business operations and support for 146 hotels operated by third party franchise operators in 33 countries with more than $1 billion in aggregate revenue. He also oversaw operations of 44 Marriott managed Select Brand hotels in 16 countries with aggregate profit and loss and performance responsibilities. Earlier, he oversaw the growth, performance, support and results for Marriott’s portfolio of 74 hotels in a dozen countries in Central and Northern South America.

Rahul is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Hindi. Having worked his way up through luxury hotel operations in India, Europe, the Caribbean and South America to a key business executive with a leading global hospitality company, he uses a servant leadership approach to building and leading high performing and empowered teams.
