Javier Camarillo Ramírez

Vice President of Finance

Javier Camarillo Ramírez is vice president of finance for ECI Development, Ltd., bringing to the role a seasoned audit background with large publicly owned construction and real estate development companies and several Big Four accounting firms.

He is responsible for ECI’s finance and accounting to support strategic decision-making and policy development by the board of directors, management and all operations and locations in Latin America, the United States and Europe. His team focuses on providing accurate data to support a wide range of timely business planning, forecasting, cost control, procurement and compliance as well as negotiations with third party lenders, suppliers, customers, regulators and external auditors.

Before joining ECI, Javier served for five years as an internal audit coordinator for VESTA, a public company in Mexico that develops, operates and leases industrial buildings and distribution centers.

Earlier, with publicly traded ICA Group (Ingenieros Civiles Asociados), Mexico’s largest engineering and construction business, he was responsible for implementation of internal controls using a COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations) framework.

Javier initially was employed by KPMG, Deloitte and Ernst & Young, where he gained experience in projects in Mexico, Panama and Peru. These engagements included process layout, risks and controls matrixes and internal controls audits (COSO and Sarbanes-Oxley) as well as bank reviews, inventories, accounts receivables and payables and fixed assets, among others.

He is fluent in Spanish and English. He received his bachelor’s degree as a public accountant from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City.
